    I’m Improved 🙂

I like this set of piano books because the music is more fitting to adult beginners, or anyone who doesn’t want to start off playing “Mary Had a Little Lamb.” The books work as a set, so my instructor had me purchase the theory, lesson, and performance books together. The technique book focuses on . . . well, technique. Each piece focuses on something different: founded hand shape, correct thumb position, firm fingertips, arm weight, etc. The last big piece puts it all together and then there is a short review of chords.I find the music pleasing to the ear and not too difficult. What’s neat is watching my technique actually improve as I progress. It’s a great way to learn piano.

    Ordered by accident

I actually ordered this accidentally thinking I was ordering the lesson book–which I highly recommend. This is well done. I just find that I would rather have most of my beginning piano students just concentrate on what is in the lesson book so they can progress faster. It’s just me. If you are after a beginning book on piano technique, it’s one of the better ones.

    Great fit and proper magnification.

The glasses are perfect. I ordered the set, but obviously can only wear one pair at a time, as I am always losing a pair. Or leaving them somewhere. I am very pleased with my purchase. I like the soft sleeve each pair comes in. Perfect for cleaning and leaving them scratch free.

Help for the advanced piano player

A fifteen year old teenager likes this book for the approach it uses to point out the importance of theory.

    This book encourages creativity

I switched to the Faber series based on the Technique and Artistry book. It allows the students to do all manner of ear training and improvisation – allows for much creativity on the part of the teacher AND the student.

    Great for older beginners!

I love this method for my older students. The activities are fun and interesting without being too childish, and the pieces are very enjoyable. It provides a nice transition into beginning classical repertoire.
